Haylee Davis. The Fluffy Cupcake’s owner and baker extraordinaire. She regards her fluffiness with disdain. I regard her fluffiness with so damn much desire it’s becoming impossible to hide it day after day.
This summer, I’m putting her on notice. She will be my cupcake by July thirteenth. That’s the day she turns the big 3-OH. And OH, am I going to take pleasure in showing her how to live again.
Haylee might be my boss, but I know how to stay hands-off in the bakery. I’ll save those hands for the bedroom where they’ll roam over every one of her curves like the beautiful, delectable, sweet cupcake she is.
The time has come to teach Haylee there is more to life than baking sweet confections, and I’m the perfect guy for the job.
Is it possible? I don’t know, but I have to try because there is no point in staying here if I can’t have my cake and eat it, too.
Amber Larson. The face of The Fluffy Cupcake. She’s the sweetest tart in the bakery case, and I want nothing more than to take a bite.
The other problem is, I can see through the smile she uses to hide her excruciating pain and halting limp. She needs help, fast, and I’m just the man for the job.
What’s my plan? It’s simple. I’ll propose.
For her, it’s a marriage of convenience. For me, it’s the real deal.
I have thirty days to teach this beautifully broken woman that her past doesn’t have to dictate her future. I’ll start by showing my little tart that the right man will fill her nights with pleasure rather than pain. Her tight, lithe body and plump, kissable lips assure me it will be the most titillating lesson I’ve ever taught.
Is it possible? I don’t know, but I have to try because If I fail, it will spell disaster for The Fluffy Cupcake, the entire town of Lake Pendle, and most of all, my heart.
Special Agent Donovan Walsh was looking for a change. He didn’t think anything could be more challenging than being a single father, but he hadn’t met his new state witness yet. Offered a stint as Sugar’s bodyguard, he agreed to fly to ‘the tip of the end of the world,’ in hopes of finding himself again. When autumn turned to winter and an attempt was made on Sugar’s life, she had to trust Van to lead her through a dangerous rumba of deceit, kidnapping, and murder. When bullets started flying, Van had to believe he could protect his one reason for living.
This Christmas, Sugar has an important question to answer. Will Van finally heal her broken heart or will he be the one to break it beyond repair?
