When she moved back to Wolf Hollow, she only wanted a fresh start. Not once did she ever imagine she’d up being mated to two wolves, and just in time for the holidays!
Kizzie had opted for the eggnog without alcohol, Dex had gotten a longneck, and Dane had made himself a cup of coffee. At first, Kizzie had sat stiffly between the two of them. The tension felt thick between them, and Dex hadn’t been sure how to fix it. During a rather sappy part of the Hallmark Christmas movie Kizzie had picked, she leaned toward Dane, her head going to his shoulder.
Dex reached down and swung her feet up onto his lap, removing her shoes. He rubbed the soles of her feet, making her moan and close her eyes. The sound went straight to his cock, and he shifted, hoping she hadn’t noticed. Dane wrapped his arm around Kizzie, holding her closer.
By the time the movie ended, she’d gone limp and Dex had moved from her feet to rubbing her calves and thighs. She wiggled a little and he wondered how far she wanted things to go tonight. If she’d been drinking, he’d have stopped and not tried anything else. He wanted her sober and of sound mind when she decided to let one of them claim her. Of course, her agreeing to sex tonight didn’t exactly mean she wanted to be bitten.
“Kizzie, can I ask you something?” Dane shared a look with him before focusing on their mate again. “Are you opposed to the two of us claiming you because you’re hesitant to belong to two shifters?”
“No. I always thought being someone’s fated mate would be wonderful.”
“Then why are you resisting the idea of moving in with the two of us?” Dex asked.
“I don’t know,” she admitted. “I think part of it has to do with you, Dex. I’m worried I’ll go all in with both of you, then you’ll run the first chance you get. You made it clear how you felt about sharing a mate with someone.”
“I did, and I’m sorry I ever mentioned it. When we discussed it, everything was hypothetical. I knew you were mine, but I didn’t realize you were also Dane’s mate. I didn’t think I could share. Is it something I’ve done in the past? No. Am I ready to claim you, and do whatever it takes to keep you? Absolutely.”
“Then…” She sank her teeth into her lower lip. “Then I think I’m ready.”
Dane and Dex shared a look. Neither could tell if she meant ready to move in, ready to be claimed, or ready for everything a mating involved, including pups.
“You want us to claim you? Tonight?” Dane asked.
She nodded. “Yes. And I’m sure. More certain than I’ve ever been of anything before. If both of you are all in, then so am I.”
