Queen Lucy by Rhiannon Lee 💕 Guest Post, Series Tour & $20 Gift Card Giveaway 💕 (Reverse Harem Fantasy Romance)

Lucy’s back, and ready to reclaim hell.

Hell is just a place on earth, right? For Lucy, this couldn't be any closer to the truth. Stuck working in another dead-end job in another unremarkable city, Lucy’s adapted to life on the run by arming herself with a smokescreen of snarky humor. Sometimes though, her filter-less sasses land her in hot water, especially when it comes to triggering her unruly magic.

After a trip to the pound, where a small, scrappy black cat befriends her, a rapid series of events thrusts Lucy—literally—into the complicated world of Hell.

Lucy will need to learn to rely on others and use the help offered to her by an alluring demon and a ragtag team of misfits in order to save Hell before it’s ripped apart by all manners of depraved, ruthless enemies.

The Queen Lucy series is a fantasy romance adventure with a reverse harem theme.

Like greeting an old friend, if that friend is a slap across the face from reality, Lucy launches herself headfirst into a new series of challenges that come with the territory of being the Queen of Hell.

On top of being pulled every which way by royal duties and rules, and a conflict simmering just below the surface of Hell’s five realms, Lucy must also juggle a newfound romantic life she couldn’t have previously imagined. As her love for Cain grows, the arrival of a mysterious stranger throws a wrench in her initial plans. And of course, he’s not the only one who has their eyes set on the vivacious queen.

The uncertainty of Lucy’s future increases as a lurking threat begins to rear its head. Can Lucy figure out the key to keeping her world intact while also opening her heart to the love of all the men in her life before it’s too late?

On the scale of being caked by a minxle to foiling assassinations, everything should have prepared the Queen of Hell for waking up to a handsome stranger, right? After Abaddon ran away with this tail firmly tucked, and Lucy could finally catch her breath, she was prepared to start a new life with the men and family she loved most. But letting her guard down was her first mistake.

In a race against her own future, Lucy must trust her instincts now more than ever. And if she wants to stand a chance at restoring Hell and her reign, she also needs to tread carefully around familiar faces. If there is one thing she knows all too well, it’s that not everyone is as they seem.

Lucy must prove herself to the people of Hell for a second time. And things are not just where she left them. If that doesn’t make things difficult enough, Cain and Bohden don’t remember her and she learns that reclaiming the rest of her men won’t be as easy as she hoped. With her world falling apart, she must march an army across hell to defeat Abaddon once and for all. But will there be enough time to reunite her family, or will she lose part of her heart forever?

This is the epic conclusion to the Queen Lucy series. It contains adult situations and language, and a fair share of hilarity. A why choose romance adventure!

Who is your hero and why?

The women in my family will always be my heroes. They are the people that have made me feel most loved in this world, and every one of them is interesting and a tad quirky. When I was growing up, I spent a lot of time at my grandparent’s house. My grandmother, Phyllis, would take me to the store and encourage me to buy as many books as I wanted in one trip. And believe me, I tested the theory. One afternoon, I plopped twelve babysitter’s club books on the counter, and she never batted an eye. In fact, she had almost selected that many herself. Then we would come home and eat cup-a-soup with oyster crackers while watching either Bewitched or Scarecrow and Mrs. King.

My grandmother was a strong woman who held our family together. She had raised four children with little money while my grandfather built his career as an electrical engineer. Because of that, she could come across as stubborn and opinionated. Everyone would give my grandfather hugs when they visited, but rarely was my grandmother included. She never protested or expressed hurt feelings, but I remember glancing over at her one day as we were headed out her door and wondering why we never hugged her, too. And then I thought about how awful that was because she loved us so much. From then on, I made sure she got just as many hugs as my grandfather. Other family members took notice, too, and started hugging her. Honestly, I don’t think she knew what to do with all the affection at first, but she figured it out.

She wasn’t the only woman who took a hand in my upbringing. When my great grandmother Alice stayed at my grandparent’s house, we would watch wrestling while eating peppermint patties from her stash. When she wasn’t watching television, she was reading gossip magazines and discussing Bat Boy or whatever headline was popular. I never once saw her with anything but jet-black hair, and she wore red lipstick religiously, even in her eighties. She used to collect bells and write letters to the president. One time she began sending in our family recipes to the newspaper to be published. My grandmother found out and was furious. My grandmother took her postage stamps away for a week.

I could write a thousand stories about how they taught me to have inner strength and love myself, which they did just by loving me exactly the way I was. I always felt accepted when I was in their presence. Their memory is a gift I will carry with me always.

Where were you born/grew up at?

I was born in the beautiful hills of West Virginia. My mom said it snowed for the first time that year on my birthing day. I grew up surrounded by nature, with a family that taught me to identify plants, birds, and animals. Spending the day traipsing barefoot down the creek was not an unusual activity when I was young. When I was seven, we moved to Germany with my stepfather, who was in the military. For three years, I was immersed in a wholly different culture and community. We didn’t live on the military base; we had an apartment in town with the local folk. The food was amazing. From loaves of sourdough to gingerbread cookies to bratwursts, I devoured deliciousness I had never before experienced. While we were there, we vacationed through the Black Forest, France, and Switzerland.

I finally arrived back in West Virginia at the age of nine, but not without forever being changed by the incredible people and culture I found in Europe. That’s not to say that I don’t love where I was born, because I do. I still live in these glorious mountains. In fact, I spend my mornings outside, feeding birds and squirrels while I drink my coffee and get ready for my day. I do not, however, walk barefoot down creek beds anymore, although sometimes I think I should.

Do you read yourself and if so, what is your favorite genre?

I love to read! My favorite genre is fantasy, with a dash of the occasional woman’s humor book. I started reading Piers Anthony as a teen and moved on to some of my most loved authors; Anne McCaffrey, Andre Norton, Terry Goodkind and Terry Brooks. I picked up a book by Sherrilyn Kenyon in my early twenties and got pulled over into the fantasy romance genre. I’ve been lost ever since.

from Horoscopes and Oaths

I wrapped an arm around him and pulled his head into my lap. “Gathering forces must be tough work, huh?” I asked.

He mumbled something I couldn’t make out and nodded his head. The poor thing. I stroked his hair and kissed the side of his head, earning me a hair in my mouth for my kindness. He seemed so peaceful; I was trying desperately not to draw attention to myself while I attempted to extract the stupid thing. I worked it around with my tongue until it was resting on my lower lip and then tried to push it out of my mouth with a puff of breath.

Gilly looked over at me and cocked an eyebrow. I shook my head and frowned, then shh’ed her as quietly as possible. The hair was still lodged. Apparently, I had only managed to work part of it forward, the other half was wedged between my skin and molars.

She went back to eating, and I went back to trying to get the dumb hair out of my mouth. Every few seconds, she would glance up with a smirk. I rolled my eyes.

Cain was making soft breathy noises. Obviously, he had fallen asleep. Then he rolled over and stretched. His face was now pointed up at me, but his eyes were sealed shut. I now had no hope of dislodging myself from under him without waking him. Great.

If anyone ever wrote a book about me, I hoped they would leave the part about the glorious and brave queen of hell getting trapped under her lover with a hair stuck between her teeth. Knowing my luck, they’d write about it in great detail. I let out a huff, fluffing my bangs upward, and felt the hair slide further back against my throat.

I gagged but tried to repress it as much as I could. My eyes watered through my struggle. Finally, at my wit’s end, I gingerly moved one hand from under Cain and fished for the culprit threatening to wake my sweet dear companion.

Gilly was nearly in hysterics, at least as much as possible while trying to be quiet. I side eyed her while I desperately tried to grab the hair from the back of my mouth.

I finally felt it and pinched it between two fingers. Victory! As I was retrieving it, it slipped, and I lost it, but at least I knew where it was now. I found it again and pulled. Just as I pulled it all the way out, the damn door opened a third time.

Bohden barged in. “We are ready!” he announced, pulling Cain from his slumber with a start.

The sleeping man sat straight up, catching my chin. My jaw cracked against his head and pain shot through my face. “Motherfuc…” I hissed. I tasted iron.
