When she arrives, she receives a rude surprise. Witch’s Choice is not a quiz show – it’s a dating show! To make matters even worse, one of the contestants is her former love, Tullie LaCroix, who left Neyla years earlier without an explanation.
Tullie is still as beautiful and sexy as Neyla remembers, and she wants to resume their relationship. But when the truth of Tullie’s desertion is finally known, will it bring the couple back together or tear them apart for good?
Neyla rolled out of the bed, more irritated than anything else. She flung open the door. "What is it?" She asked with irritation in her voice.
The next thing she knew, she was in Tullie's embrace, her lips upon hers, soft but demanding. Neyla's senses spun. All at once, every memory came back to her in a rush. Tullie's familiar taste, the feel of her velvety skin, and her smell. How could she still remember every detail of Tullie after so many years apart? So many years of wanting and wondering. Years of no contact, not even a postcard or a holiday greeting. Not a single, I am sorry for leaving you the way I did. Nothing.
Nothing at all.
The pain of their separation, of Tullie's leaving and never trying to contact her or convince her to leave with her suddenly stabbed at her heart. The pain was so acute that she pushed Tullie away.
"Don't do this, Tullie. It's been over for such a long time. Let matters be. I am in a good place right now. Please don't come back into my life and blow it apart. Go back to Paris or wherever it is that you've been living all these years and forget me." But just as she said the words to push her away, her arms were pulling her closer, all the while her mind scrambling deeper into the thought of that kiss. Vaguely, she heard the door close and the lock snap.
With a taste for the darker side, Natalie-Nicole's favorite genres are Dark Victorian, Steampunk, and Dark Paranormal. Her interests include collecting Victorian-era photographs, Frozen Charlotte Dolls (her latest batch was just delivered from a German excavation site after being buried underground since about 1860), and antique poison bottles. She loves exploring and photographing cemeteries - the older, the better!
Unfortunately, her mother and stepfather won’t allow her to quit.
Each time she tries to disappear, her evil stepfather, Benjamin Wolf, finds her and forces her back home. Chloe needs to go to extreme levels to rid herself of Benjamin Wolf, especially since her mother is now in a coma.
Will Chloe’s skills she learned as the fictional character Red help or hinder her escape?
