Sassing Saul by Gail Koger 💕 Review, New Release Spotlight & EXCLUSIVE Gift Card Giveaway 💕 (Sci-Fi Romance)

#1 Amazon Bestseller in Erotic Science Fiction

Annie used to believe in all that happily ever after crap, until the day she found out her Prince Charming husband was a conman with a wandering eye. On the same day she booted him to the curb, an alien fleet double-parked over Earth and life as she knew it ended. To survive she joined a militia unit and used her unique physic powers to fight off the alien invaders. She was so successful she earned the swell nickname of the Grim Reaper. Now she must fight for her own freedom because Saul Jones, a Coletti-hybrid warlord, has decided she’s his and he won’t stop until he possesses her.

General Saul Jones has his hands full. Not only is he a four-star Marine general, he’s also a Coletti warlord. To complicate matters, he’s the Coletti Overlord’s liaison to Earth and one of the patriarchs of “the” Jones clan. Raising his blood pressure even more is his teenage psychic daughter who has found her mate before she’s of legal age. Can you say raging hormones? Not to mention the headaches of dealing with all the interspecies head-butting and Central Command. He has a million and one things needing his attention and at long last he discovers the other half of his soul. Annie Russell aka the Grim Reaper. Instead of running into his arms, Annie’s running as far and fast as she can.
Always a fun time with the Coletti!

What I love the most about these books is the lighthearted tone and undercurrent of straight-up fun that is spread throughout. It's like Annie and the rest of the ladies are on level 100 and their enemies are on level 6, so there's an almost invincible, "no worries, we got this" vibe, and it makes for some funny situations!

Annie was coming off of some tough times, but when life chewed her up and spit her out, it made her tough as nails. She was definitely someone you did not want to mess with. But Saul tried. Boy, did he try. But he learned quickly that Annie was not some shrinking violet he could command and expect her to listen. That, too, made for some funny situations.

I enjoyed catching up with characters I met in previous books, specifically Casey and Hothar, and I hope to revisit Saul and Annie to see how they are doing in the next book!

For Voss, a Coletti Warlord, conquering the universe is a piece of cake. After all, he's a master of psychic seduction; no one can resist him when he sets his mind to it.

Zoey Jones is determined to find her mother's killer. Surrendering to a fierce Coletti warrior is the last thing on her mind. When Voss is determined to make Zoey his mate, she unleashes her own brand of whoop-ass to discourage his pursuit. When her clever disguises, skunk perfume, stun gun, and smoke bombs fail to stop the ruthless warlord, she's forced to negotiate her surrender: she would mate with him if he would help her find her mother's killer.

To Zoey's surprise, Voss agrees, and the hunt is on. Their quest to bring the villain to justice leads to unlikely alliances in an interplanetary war, and more surprisingly, to love.

Bree never thought her dimwit act, military grade mace, cattle prod, or dumping a ton of stinky manure on Jaylan's head would encourage his pursuit. Who knew a Coletti warlord would think being zapped with a cattle prod as foreplay? Or that a clever opponent only heightened his enjoyment of the chase?

The chase comes to an abrupt halt when the Tai-Kok attack Tucson, forcing Bree to team up with the Coletti warlord to stop them. Suddenly plucked from Earth by a crazed Tai-Kok commander, Jaylan and Bree find themselves stranded on a hostile alien world, and being tracked by a deadly Askole assassin. Neither of them expected to find love.

Kaylee knew being a Coletti Warlord's mate wasn't going to be easy. Not only was Talree downright scary, he had a bossy streak a mile long and collected enemies like most men collected lovers. But while Kaylee's life might not be perfect, Talree truly loved her.

Flash forward nine months to a very pregnant, insanely hormonal and cranky as hell Kaylee. If the pregnancy wasn't enough to drive her crazy, Talree's enemies are tap dancing on her last nerve. The Shani Queen Mother, a psychotic alien with a bone to grind against Talree, decided she wanted the planet Tartum--a barren piece of crap loaded with Ditrum crystals, and part of the Coletti Empire. Her master plan? Kidnap Kaylee and hold her for ransom. If the Overlord refused to give Tartum to the Queen Mother, she would feed Kaylee and her son to the Tai-Kok.

She thinks Kaylee will beg for mercy. Boy, is the alien bitch in for a surprise. She's about to meet a woman suffering from hormone overload and a serious lack of chocolate. The only one begging for mercy will be the Queen Mother.

Wulf knows Yakira is his soulmate. Now he just needs to convince her. But with intergalactic terrorists on Yakira’s trail, there’s little time for romance. What’s a hot-blooded Coletti warlord to do?

Yakira feels safe and cherished with Wulf, but he is a Coletti--the ultimate predator with a taste for blood, a passion for battle, and the need to control everything in his life. The big question is: how does she make Wulf understand she’s a powerful psychic with kick-ass bionic limbs and quite capable of taking care of herself?

Tihar travels to Earth to find and claim a Jones female. He knows they are fearless, psychic warriors, and talented in bed sport. Ten minutes after meeting Sarah, Tihar knows the feisty little human is the one he has been searching for. Now he must convince Sarah that she's meant to be his. He thinks Earth girls are easy. he’s about to learn that messing with a Jones female is never a good idea.

The first time Sarah sees Tihar, she's a wee bit freaked out. The Askole warrior has tentacles, snakelike features, and black, armored-plated skin. Even weirder, she finds him strangely attractive. Tihar's torso is sculpted perfection and his black scales are actually kind of sexy. Who knew challenging Tihar to combat would start the Askole mating dance?

As the two grow closer, their romance comes to a screeching halt when Askole rebels attack Tihar's home world. He tells Sarah she is his heart's destiny and that he will love her to the end of time, then he abruptly severs their mental bond and disappears. Sarah's left reeling from shock, but she's a Jones and isn't about to let a galactic war stop her from hunting down her mate. Can the two of them find their way back into each other’s arms?

Publisher's Note: The first half of Game On Askole is a prequel to Vexing Voss, and the second part moves forward three years.
New. Favorite. Series.

I fell in love with this book from page 1. The tone is so playful and, frankly, hilariously sarcastic. The humor totally clicked with me, and I had several laugh-out-loud moments.

This is the first book I've read in the series, but I'm absolutely going to double-back and start from the beginning.

The imagery was unreal; I actually felt like I was IN the story, that I could see (and smell) what the characters were experiencing.

But, my most favorite part about the book was Tihar's love and devotion to Sarah. They shared a unique connection, and Gail used that to the couple's advantage in such a perfect way.

I met a lot of fun characters in this story, and I truly can't wait to go back and read their stories or read their future stories as Gail publishes them.

To me, this is one of those series where I don't even need to read the synopsis of the next book; I'm buying it and I know I'm gonna love it!!!

Quinn Jones is a formidable Coletti warlord. His mission is to capture Xenia and bring her back to Tanith to be mated with a warrior the Overlord has chosen. Problem is, Quinn finds himself falling for the beautiful Farin. Her unusual “psychic powers, combat training, and berserker abilities” make her the perfect mate for him. How does he convince Xenia and the Overlord that she’s meant to be his?

Xenia and her parents are relic hunters who just discovered the fabled home world of the Nabateans. She isn’t about to leave the greatest find of the century to hook up with some Coletti. Not happening. Ever. No matter how many threats the Overlord makes or that he’s sending his best hunter to apprehend her. Okay, she’ll admit she’s drawn to the handsome warlord and she loves the way Quinn’s heavily muscled body fills out his black battle suit, but the egotistical jerk is about to get his ass handed to him.

When the galaxy is threatened with annihilation, Xenia and Quinn join forces to stop the murderous Tai-Kok. Fate has brought them together and nothing will stand in the way of their victory or their love.
These books as so fun!

I loved the tone of this one. It was very playful and the story flowed easily.

Xenia was awesome! She was one heck of a warrior, and made no apologies for being exactly who she was.

Quinn was a perfect match for her in every way. He was perfectly happy with Xenia as she was but also very protective.

This book was more graphic with the blood and gore than I'm used to reading, but all in all, I enjoyed this one and would gladly read more in the series!

Undercover psychic investigator Casey Jones' hunt for a traitor in Central Command gets blown all to hell when the crew of the military C130 cargo plane she's riding on tries to kill her. Drawing on her telekinesis, Casey stops their assassination attempt and bails out as the aircraft goes down in flames.

Casey meets her new partner at eight thousand feet, when Hothar is suddenly wrapped around her like a limpet. He declares he has come to rescue her from a watery death. All the butthead is going to accomplish is getting them both killed. She's a battle-tested Siren and quite capable of catching the turncoat without his help.

Or maybe not. There's suddenly a shitload of bad guys trying tokill them. Casey quickly realizes they do make an unbeatable team. With thehelp of a shape shifting alien and an eight-legged Tabor, they race to stop thetraitor. Can love flourish on the battlefield?

Gail's books are so fun!

This was truly a sci-fi romance, complete with the Star Trek-ish terminology and graphic battles, but it was also so low-stress and infused with a unique brand of humor, and that's what I loved the most!

Yes, conflicts and battles seem to surface wherever Casey happens to be, but Gail makes sure this warrior has everything she needs to prevail...like a devoted mate and a tentacle-clad-very-hungry-almost-invincible alien.

The ending of this book set up the next one PERFECTLY...Saul and Annie seem to have explosive chemistry, and I CANNOT wait to read what happens with them!!!

How do I come up with my stories? Being psychotic helps. I was a 9-1-1 dispatcher for way too long. All those years of wild requests, screwy questions, bizarre behavior and outrageous demands have left me with a permanent twitch and an uncontrollable craving for chocolate. Don’t get me wrong. Working as a 9-1-1 dispatcher can be very rewarding. BUT - some days I felt like the entire world was nuts. I mean, c’mon, who in their right mind calls 9-1-1 for the winning lottery numbers? To keep from hitting myself repeatedly in the head with my phone, I took up writing.

I made the Night Owl's Awesome Paranormal Romance Authors List.
