I’m a monster. That’s what Brandon thinks when he flees the medical institute that changed him. I’m a pretty open book. Ask me something and I’ll most likely reply. Or crack a joke. Or say something dirty. I’m a pretty simple person and more like you than you might believe. Here’s some things about me that you might recognize in yourself: I do enjoy many vegetables but I hate peas--nasty squishy green things. Blech. I love walking barefoot on fresh grass, especially when it’s freshly mowed and springy—and sometimes I lie about who left green footprints in the hall. I detest bugs so much I’ve been known to empty an entire can of bug spray on one, while screaming. If it’s got hair on its legs? I’m practically incoherent with fear. I love the crisp smell of fall and the perfect temperature. I’m actually an October baby so perhaps that’s where I get my love of autumn from. I don’t know if it’s the Canadian in me or not, but I dislike rudeness. I like to see people opening doors for each other and smiling in greeting. The basics of please and thank you, but oddly enough in spite of my love of manners I don’t mind cussing—and can cuss quite well myself. I adore clever jokes and snicker at dirty ones. I can’t stand nails on chalkboard or movies with dolls that come alive. That truly creeps me out. I love good food. I avoid reading sad books as I’m more about being uplifted. I am addicted to home renovation and shopping shows, especially when they shop houses on the ocean. Love those views. How many things do we have in common?

Again, she uttered that enchanting laughter. The chime of bells in the wind, the sound tickled across his exposed skin, warming him despite the cool evening air.
“Forget you? Never. Now that I’ve found you, you’re mine.”
Mine. How nice that sounded. But it also reminded him of his time at Bittech. “I belong to no one.”

“You say that now…but you’ll change your mind.” She smiled and winked.
