Bette owns Fairhaven’s only bookstore…but only barely. She’s struggling with bills, but she refuses to sell to the hotel mogul Richard Dickson because he only wants to tear down the beloved store and replace it with a hotel. Can these two find a compromise and save the bookstore?


A sexy spin on Beauty and the Beast!

This book is meant to be a quick read, and boy, did I tear through this one!  As Liza says in the preface, it was "perfect for an afternoon tryst." :)

I really enjoyed the writing style, especially Bette's "voice," even getting a few chuckles along the way.  I also met some of Bette's friends, and I wonder if they will have their own books in the series?  (I hope so!  The friends have very unique personalities!)

Being that this is a short read, the romance between Bette and Richard was a little rushed, but Richard more than made up for that by the end!

I'm VERY anxious to read more books in this series!!!
